We are sorry to say we can not take in any more rescues at this time as we are at full capacity

Chinchillas live for a long time - 15 to 20 years. That in itself is a good reason for me to be pretty particular about who I "adopt" chins to. I sell chinchillas primarily as pets and am cautious about selling them to start up breeders without first making sure that they are well educated about chins. I take my responsibility as a breeder quite seriously as I feel responsible not only for the chins I sell but for any offspring they may produce. It is now my strict policy to sell chinchillas only to buyers who agree not to put them into breeding with un-pedigreed chinchillas or chinchillas unqualified for breeding in any other way. It's also important to realize that there can easily be added costs once a chinchilla has been purchased due to the occasional need for a visit to the veterinarian. Veterinarians specializing in exotic animals don't come cheap. So, please realize that while I very much want to share these delightful critters with other chinchilla lovers, I just as much want all chinchillas to be happy and healthy.
I'll get off my soapbox now =)
